Introduction
United U-Li Corporation Berhad (ULICORP) was established in Malaysia in 2000 as a private limited company. Initially, it focused on engineering works and trading cable support systems. In 1983, it was incorporated as United U-LI (M) Sdn Bhd (ULSB) to meet the growing demand in the Malaysian cable support systems market. In 1997 and 1998, it expanded into steel service centres and cable-tray industries. In 1999, it ventured into integrated ceiling system manufacturing. In 2002, the group acquired ULSB, ULSS, CTSB, and GMSB, and in 2003, ULBM. The company was listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. In 2005, it expanded into the lighting market and established United U-Li Goodlite Sdn Bhd (ULGSB). The company currently operates five manufacturing sites in Malaysia and employs around 1,000 employees.
