Introduction
Melewar Steel Tube Sdn Bhd was established in 1969 as a Malaysian-Japanese joint venture in the steel pipe manufacturing industry. In 1972, it was renamed Maruichi Malaysia Steel Tube Sdn Bhd and renamed Melewar Industrial Group Berhad (MIG) in 2003. The company expanded its operations, opening a second factory in 1974 and a subsidiary in 1982. MIG was listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in 1986 and has an installed capacity of over 22,000m/tonnes per month. Its products are used in construction, furniture, automotive, bicycle, and engineering industries. MIG-MELEWAR, with over three decades of experience, is known for its quality and acclaimed products.
