Kairos Agriculture, established in 2019, aims to be the leading chemical-free integrated farm in Asia and a role model for young people to participate in agriculture through smart farming. The farm, located in Penang, Malaysia, uses Agriculture 4.0 technologies such as IoT, Big Data, AI, and Machine Learning to grow vanilla as the anchor crop. The farm also uses aquaponics and a full ecosystem of microbes, enzymes, and vermicompost (worms).

Kairos’ vision is for Malaysia-grown vanilla to be renowned for its high quality and make up at least 10% of the world supply. The mission is to provide socially conscious businesses and consumers with an ethically and sustainably cultivated source of vanilla, nurture a new generation of Malaysian agricultural entrepreneurs, and create employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups in line with ESG standards and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
